True Players:RYAN MOORE
PGA Tour Professional Ryan Moore was always a bit of a renegade. Since turning pro in 2006, his unique style has been at the forefront of many golf trends. From his signature newsboy hats and homage to the menswear aspects of the game’s origins of style, he’s always been a head of the pack. His devotion to TRUE is no different. Since trying his first pair in 2009, he hasn’t worn anything else. He continues to sport our latest models everywhere he goes. He’s TRUE-ly sold. “I’m wearing TRUE linkswear golf shoes because they’re the lightest, most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I’m a feel player and every part of the way I experience the game of golf, from the teebox to the green depends on having a solid connection with the ground. These shoes provide that connection in a way I’ve never felt before. I was so excited to learn about this golf shoe concept, and when I finally got to wear the shoes for the first time, I knew I wanted to wear them on Tour,” and Ryan has done just that. In fact, Moore, whom is frequently in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings, has worn TRUE linkswear on the PGA TOUR for over three years. He sported his TRUE protos and TRUE tours in route to his 11th place finish in the 2012 season long FedEx Cup, and during in his win at the 2013 Justin Timberlake Shriner’s Open.
Ryan David Moore (born December 5, 1982) is a professional golfer from Puyallup, WA, who is currently playing on the PGA Tour. Coming up the ranks, he has reached the pinnacle of each echelon, from world’s #1 ranked junior golfer in 2001, to being the top collegiate player in the nation, as well as top Amateur in the nation in 2004, to his breakthrough victory on the PGA Tour at the Wyndham Championship in 2009. He may still be most famous for his record breaking amateur season in 04′ where he seized five titles in one summer (including the US Amateur, US Publinks, NCAA Championship, Western Am, and World Am Titles). Many golf experts claim this is the greatest feat by an Amateur golfer in the modern era, dating back to, and only rivaled by the late Bobby Jones himself.
Ryan’s always done things his own way, often even eschewing hundreds of thousands of dollars in formal club, ball, shoes, corporate, and even clothing contracts just to make sure he was playing the equipment he wanted. It was in those times he was making sure he was playing golf for all for of the right reasons, to get back to the roots of his passion in the game that drove him all the way through his amateur career. Coming into 2012, Ryan celebrated the first year anniversary of marriage to his wife, Nikki, and welcomed the birth of his first born son, Tucker Maddex. In 2013 Ryan has entered the season playing fantastic golf, and ranking the highest in his career thus far.
